13th Tryst Open 09: Congratulations go to Belfast Bulls Wrestlers, Cameron Burns & Sam Tufts winning Gold on Saturday 12 September.
Wigan & Leigh Open 09: Congratulations go to Sammy Tufts, Andrew Purssell, Justin Haughey all members of Belfast Bulls Wrestling Club who gained 1st place winning Gold at the Wigan and Leigh 2nd Open Championships on Saturday 5 September.
Bank Holiday Break: Club will be closed Bank Holiday Monday 31 August. Resumes Monday 7 September
Mary Peters Award: Andrew Purssell attended a photo call with Dame Mary Peters on Sunday 5 July at the Mary Peters Track, Belfast.
Andrew, recently awarded £300 from the Mary Peters Trust proved his merit by achieving podium place, winning Silver at the British Junior Championships on Saturday 4 July in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
The Trust is the only Province-wide organisation which can assess sporting need and provide help to individuals from all recognized sports. It works alongside the Sport NI and, with the assistance of the Governing Bodies of Sport, makes financial awards towards approved out-of-pocket expenses.
John O’Rawe, National Coach NI, is the NI Wrestling Association’s Liaison Officer for The Mary Peters Trust, submitted a number of Award Applications on behalf of worthy athletes from clubs across the province.

Camp Funding: John O’Rawe, coach at Belfast Bulls Wrestling Club received support from the Belfast City Council’s ‘Support For Sport Fund’ for The Knockagh Wrestling Camp 2009.
Bank Holiday: Club closed for Bank Holiday Monday 25 May, back next week Monday 1 June.
Annual Wrestling Camp 2009: The Knockagh Wrestling Camp focuses on fun, fitness, fundamentals, discovering new techniques, developing existing skills, making new friends and sharing knowledge and experience with coaches and wrestlers from a variety of clubs.
The British Juniors 09: The date is set for Saturday 4 July at the Alfreton Sports Centre, Derbyshire, Closing date for entries is Saturday 27 June 2009
Welsh Open 09: The published calendar date for the Welsh Open 09 of Saturday 13 June has been rescheduled to Saturday 20 June 09.
